ONITSHA—The Nzuko Old Aguata Union, NOAU, has concluded arrangements to honour some prominent personalities from the Old Aguata area of Orumba North, Orumba South and Aguata Local Government areas of Anambra State, including the former Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Professor Charles Soludo.
Also among other personalities to be honoured by NOAU, during the forthcoming maiden cultural exhibition and award-giving day-cum-New Yam festival, include Mr. Godwin Ezeemo, an industrialist and politician; Governor Willie Obiano; Mrs. Eucharia Azodo, member representing Aguata Federal Constituency in the National Assembly.
A statement from the Chairman, Secretary and Coordinator of NOAU, Chief Ebere Udoh, Peter Okeke and Sir Peter Okala, respectively, noted that all the sons of Old Aguata, who are currently serving in Obiano’s state executive council, including the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Josephat Akabike; his Environment counterpart, Engr. Ifeanyi Ejikeme; Commerce, Trade and Industry, Mrs. Ilobi.
