The Federal Government has reiterated its commitment to the empowerment of youths in the country through adequate training to equip and prepare them for future challenges.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony of 22 former militants trained in carpentry and woodworks at Dee & Kay Limited, a furniture company in Sapele, Delta State, Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta, Brig-Gen. Paul Boroh, retd., said the Federal Government would not relent in its efforts at giving every Nigerian youth proper training and orientation to enhance their capacity to contribute to the building of a virile nation.

Gen. Boroh, who is also the Coordinator of the Amnesty Programme, represented by Mr. Lawrence Akpate and Mr. Jude Baboyo, said he was very delighted that the former militants had justified the Federal Government’s confidence and investment in them. He commended them for the exemplary behaviour throughout the training.

He said it was gratifying that the youths had become very responsible members of the society who should contribute positively to the growth and  evelopment of the country.

Gen. Boroh admonished the graduands to brace up to the challenges ahead, charging them to continue to be of good behaviour and worthy ambassadors of the Federal Government.
